The Inn is a charming 18th century building with a wonderful olde-worlde atmosphere. A hostelry has been here since the 1700's and in the days of stage coaches the inn was an important posting stage.

 

On arrival at The Wheatsheaf Inn you’ll immediately be struck by the imposing architecture and authenticity. Once inside, it’s like taking a step back in time. To an era where folk enjoyed their tipple of whisky by candlelight. Where the fire’s always lit, the food’s always good and the people are always smiling.

The Thompson family have independently have been running the restaurant

and bar for over 40 years and still present to this day.
